I interviewed my two different friends who are currently a college student in the U.S and South Korea. I asked them if they think their government handled the situation well.

I interviewed one of my closest friend in South Korea. Her name is Seyone Kim, she is currently a medical student in South Korea, and I asked her if she was satisfied with how the South Korean government dealt since the outbreak of COVID-19. She told me that at first, she was against the government's plan and thought that those plans to manage the virus was misguided. The Korean government decided to recruit additional medical students rather than raise wages for those who work at the front line. Additionally, she was not feel safe about the government's new plans, because they often publicly announces those who tested positive, which critics cite as an infringement of individual privacy and an invitation for public bullying. In studies that she did in her school found that more than 50 percent of people who were publicly announced by the government hurt their mental health. It's not that she disagree with the government's plans, but she believes there could be a better solution and plans to address these issues.

The second friend that I interviewed was a student who studies in Purdue. I asked her if she thinks that the U.S. governments handled the Covid-19 well, and the answer was no.  She told me that U.S. response to the coronavirus outbreak has not been effective and that is the reason why many people in the U.S. are currently suffering during this global pandemic. She thinks that the U.S. governments closed the international border too late, and allowed people from China to travel back to the U.S. "There appears to be an increasing feeling that the U.S. may not have a grasp on the pandemic, particularly when we see other countries opening up without the increase in cases that we see here," said Suzie Lee, student at Purdue. She also thinks that many people in the U.S. still do not take this situation seriously and turned the Covid-19 into political problems which brought more chaos and hate in this country. "I believe in the times of pandemic we all need to work together and help each other to get back to normal life asap."
